To support every brilliant Plumber, Heating Engineer or Apprentice to access the multi-billion-pound green heating sector.  The government have stated that in 2025 fossil fuel heating systems cannot be installed in new build homes so it is literally a matter of time until most engineers will have no choice but to install renewable heating systems as the average UK homeowner moves to greener heating.

How?

Being an ex MCS air source heat pump installer I know it from your side of the fence; I will endeavor to support installers through the entire design process.  SiZe Matters main aim is to build relationships with existing and new installers who can use our services to take away the MCS stress so they can focus on what they do best… INSTALL.  

At SiZe Matters, we do the design, so you don't have to.  You install and we take care of the rest.

SiZe Matters have over a decade in the "heat pump" business, with hundreds of air source heat pump projects completed.  With our nationwide design and specification service, we will provide heat pump installers and contractors with a formal MCS compliant heat loss calculations report completed using the process set out by CIBSE (Charted Institute of Building Services Engineers) and the following standards:

CIBSE Domestic Heating Design Guide 2021. 

BS EN 12831:2003 Heating Systems in Buildings.

The System Design & Specification package includes:

• Room by Room Heat Losses (this will be calculated from information provided by the contractor in the form of architect drawings, SAP reports, or Site Survey Reports).
• Technical site visit
• Tailored indemnified and MCS compliant Heat Pump Calculations in accordance with BS EN 12831 
• Domestic Hot Water Calculation.
• Heat Emitter Calculation.
• System Performance Estimate.
• Noise Calculation.
